-
Karate begins and ends with respect, so anytime we enter or leave the
hall we must bow into the Dojo.
-
It is customary to bow at the beginning and end of the lesson.
-
The teacher should be addressed as Sensei once the lesson is in
progress
-
Once the lesson starts it is customary not to talk, unless asking or
answering a question
-
It is up to each student to keep their finger and toe nails cut to a
reasonable length (it is surprisingly easy to cut someone if you have long
nails).
-
When partnering another student it is ettiquette to bow before
starting training together (the lower grade should bow lower than the
higher grade).
